I've done a bad thing.

So the game Remember Me was free for ps+ members so i just had to get it. I've heard so many bad things about this game and i figured if i'm getting it for free then i might as well. I'll write a time progressive review on it and give my thoughts as the hours go on. May god have mercy on my soul

Early morning thoughts

So I'm sitting here in the parking lot of the newspaper depot waiting to deliver the papers and i
was having a thought while listening to the soundtrack of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I feel like sometimes i base a game's quality on how good the soundtrack is. Don't get me wrong, I love this game for a lot more than just the soundtrack. The gameplay was awesome and i loved going through the entire game all Solid Snake style. But I just feel that a game's soundtrack can hold a lot of weight. Here, I'll show you what I mean. Here's the intro theme. Listen to it and tell me you don't have an existential experience because you'd be a god damn liar if you don't have one.

Happy Day =D

School is done for now. I passed all my classes. I quit my job. I got a new job. And now i can spend the summer playing video games! Life is good!

Yea I quit my job at the carwash. I just kind of stopped showing up because I was unable to give any more shits about that place and anyone in it. So now I'm delivering newspapers. It's not terrible. Well Sundays and kind of shit but other than that it's ok. I go out at 2 am, throw some papers into some windows, get back at 5 or so and then i have the whole day to myself. Granted i spend the first six hours of it sleeping but after that i move over to the couch and play games all day.

I've been working on the games i bought at one point and have been sitting collecting dust as i never play them...so most of them. So I figure the best thing to do is play the most time consuming games I own. JRPGs. Probably my favorite genre of video games. That's Japanese Role Playing Games for all you not nerds out there. I bought Tales of Graces f and Tales of Xillia a while ago and never touched them. Which is a shame because I LOVE the Tales series of games. Even though  haven't beaten many of them. I've beaten Symphonia, Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Vesperia and as of yesterday Graces f. I also own Abyss on the ps2 and 3ds. Never beaten it. There's nothing wrong with it, in fact I love it. I'm just really bad at committing to a single game. I think a new halo game or something came out around the time I was working on Abyss so I got terribly side tracked and never returned. I'll get to it eventually. Graces was....well the story was good but I had some problems with the game on the whole. I'll make a detailed review later (yea, how many times have i said that and never got to it?). I'm working on Xillia and HOT DAMN I love it so far. It's so different for other Tales games but it's a really good different. I can't wait to see more of this game and then get Xillia 2 when it comes out.

Ok so I ran out of things to talk about so I'm gonna leave with that. See you in a month

HOLY SHIT A REVIEW!: Thomas Was Alone

Sit yer asses down boys and girls because I've come out of my cave to grace you all with a review! It's a quick one because it's a quick game. I got this one for free as a PS+ member on the ps3 and figured what the hoo hah.

Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle platformer made by Mike Bithell and no i don't know if he made anything else but i would definitely buy any thing else he put out. This game is fairly short as i beat it in about two or three hours. You start off as a little red rectangle named Thomas and you just have to make it to the rectangle shaped portal on the other side. As you play you're given a narrative about Thomas and what he's thinking and stuff in a very story bookesque fashion. Oh and the narrator is Danny Wallace, or as most of you know him as Shaun Hastings from Assassin's Creed. Speaking of which have you ever seen a picture of Danny Wallace? The must have modeled Shaun after him because they look identical. It's pretty funny.

Anyway as I stated before, your objective in each level is to get to the portals and get to the next level. Eventually you will meet other characters, the next one being a grumpy orange square named Christopher and he can't jump as high as Thomas. You switch between characters with the shoulder buttons and you have to try and figure out ways to get them both to their respective portals. You'll meet other characters each with their own abilities and personalities and the puzzles get a bit harder as you go on. It's not Portal levels of difficult but some can be kind of tricky. I only had to restart a level maybe twice but it's still pretty fun.

Overall i give this game a buy it rating. It's fun, cute, charming, other descriptions for good. Danny Wallace provided a great narrative perfectly conveying the proper emotions needed to tell the story and gave me a good chuckle here and there. Oh and the soundtrack is absolutely amazing. If I knew who is was composed by I'd tell you. If only there was some sort of data transfer system with which to look up the information I requested within milliseconds. One can dream. Anyway you should totally play this game. It's 10 dollars on steam, ps3 and ps vita. Or it's free for PS+ members as of April 2014. If you're reading this now, you're welcome. If not...pff. Sucks to be you.

Kill la Kill

That. That is what I've been doing the past week. Watching this absolutely amazing anime. It's goofy and retarded and bizarre and way too over the top and I love every bit about it. I know I'm a bit late to this party. Ive wanted to watch it for the longest time but never got around to it. Then I power blasted through 22 episodes in about 3 days. I think there's two more episode left in it and as of tonight the next episode is delayed for another 12 hours or so and it's Kill la Killing me.......that was terrible and I'm never doing it again. But it's still awesome and you should watch it because I said so.

seriously. can someone please hit me in the head?

Maybe it'll remind me to update this thing consistently. Ah whatever. So we never finished that Mario 64 race. Although I was ahead by about 20 stars so I'm gonna go ahead and say I won that. One of my other friends rematched me in a Ocarina of Time race. We did this once before a couple of years ago and I beat him. We were both doing pretty good and then I died at Volvagia about 4 times but somehow I caught back up to him. Then he kept messing up and could not get past the Twinrova fight while I was half way up Ganon's tower and he called it. We also started at about 8 at night and we were up till 6 in the morning do this. It was nuts.

The rematch however was a different story. So we decided to use emulators because he forgot to get his wii or gamecube from his house (he was at his grandparents place in Queens at this time and we're talking over skype). We got our emulators and we used the Japanese version of the game just for funsies. We're doing pretty good, we get to the deku tree no problem and I'm ahead of him by about 30 seconds or so. So we're going through the tree and his emulator freezes at the part where you press the button and it burns the web. Shit. Okay so I stop and wait for him to try and get back there again. He presses the button and it freezes again. Awesome. So he gets a different rom and does it again and nope. Well this is bullshit. We finally get it to work somehow and the race is back on.

Fast forward a bit and we're at Hyrule castle. You know the part where you have to grab the egg from Malon to wake up Talon? Yea I had a massive brain fart and thought you had to talk to Talon first in order to get Malon to show up when you can just go back into the market, go back to the castle and she'll be there. So I had to wait one whole in game day and night to get the stupid cucco to hatch. I wasn't  happy. Well somehow, and I'm still not sure how this happened but I caught up to him in dodongos cavern. Well I beat King Dodongo and head straight for Zora's domain. I'm ready to take this bitch. I get there and beat Jabu Jabu's belly. I am brimming with confidence. I can still win this. I decide to get Farore's Wind while I'm there. So I go to the Great Fairy and play the song and nothing happens. Took me a bit to realize that I FORGOT THE GOD DAMN MAGIC BAR AT THE TOP OF DEATH MOUNTAIN!!!! I was raging. It was a bad day. So I hike all the god damn way back up there and get the stupid magic bar.

Fast forward a bit more, Forest Temple done and we both strike Phantom Ganon down seconds apart. I have no idea how I keep doing this. Oh well. Time to go to death mountain again. So I take the short cut through the Lost Woods while he decides to ride there on Epona because he actually went ahead to get her. He did not find that amusing when I said I was already at Death Mountain mere seconds after I beat the Forest Temple. So I'm there and I have to stop Goron Link from rolling so he can talk to me. But I have no bombs and I do not have the timing skills to uses the bomb flowers. Fine, I'll just go back down to Kakariko Village and buy some bombs. I get there. Go into the Bazaar. My game freezes. I wanted to punch a baby. It was super shitty. It was not a good run from the start. We might do it again sometime way later in the future. Whatever. That's my story. Peace.
