I'm so dumb

Okay. New years resolution. I'm going to post on this thing at least once a week.....what?.....It's May?..... Since when?.....that long!?.....well shit. Okay well I'm gonna do it anyway. Starting now. Probably.

I guess what I'm going to do is just what went on during the week/reviews on games I've finished. Because that's worked out so great before. Seriously, i have like 5 saved drafts of game reviews i just never published on this. I don't know why. I just get bored/distracted/realize no one is going to read this. But like who really cares right? I'm not doing this for other people. I'm doing this for me. (no offense. I love you).

Right now I'm sitting with my fiancé at her mom's place burning stuff in the back yard. It's a beautiful night. Nice fire. Just had some steaks. Drinking a bit because I'm an adult dammit. But this weather tho. It's may and it feels like fall. Some days i love it because fall is my favorite season and i hate the heat. Today is one of those days. Cool night air. Clear sky. Well.. Clearish. Kinda cloudy. But that's besides the point. It's still nice.

I don't really know how to end this post because I've had like 3 drinks already. So open a beer or whatever your preferred drink is, grab a seat and enjoy this beautiful night. Good night my friends.

I've done a bad thing.

So the game Remember Me was free for ps+ members so i just had to get it. I've heard so many bad things about this game and i figured if i'm getting it for free then i might as well. I'll write a time progressive review on it and give my thoughts as the hours go on. May god have mercy on my soul

Early morning thoughts

So I'm sitting here in the parking lot of the newspaper depot waiting to deliver the papers and i
was having a thought while listening to the soundtrack of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I feel like sometimes i base a game's quality on how good the soundtrack is. Don't get me wrong, I love this game for a lot more than just the soundtrack. The gameplay was awesome and i loved going through the entire game all Solid Snake style. But I just feel that a game's soundtrack can hold a lot of weight. Here, I'll show you what I mean. Here's the intro theme. Listen to it and tell me you don't have an existential experience because you'd be a god damn liar if you don't have one.

Happy Day =D

School is done for now. I passed all my classes. I quit my job. I got a new job. And now i can spend the summer playing video games! Life is good!

Yea I quit my job at the carwash. I just kind of stopped showing up because I was unable to give any more shits about that place and anyone in it. So now I'm delivering newspapers. It's not terrible. Well Sundays and kind of shit but other than that it's ok. I go out at 2 am, throw some papers into some windows, get back at 5 or so and then i have the whole day to myself. Granted i spend the first six hours of it sleeping but after that i move over to the couch and play games all day.

I've been working on the games i bought at one point and have been sitting collecting dust as i never play them...so most of them. So I figure the best thing to do is play the most time consuming games I own. JRPGs. Probably my favorite genre of video games. That's Japanese Role Playing Games for all you not nerds out there. I bought Tales of Graces f and Tales of Xillia a while ago and never touched them. Which is a shame because I LOVE the Tales series of games. Even though  haven't beaten many of them. I've beaten Symphonia, Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Vesperia and as of yesterday Graces f. I also own Abyss on the ps2 and 3ds. Never beaten it. There's nothing wrong with it, in fact I love it. I'm just really bad at committing to a single game. I think a new halo game or something came out around the time I was working on Abyss so I got terribly side tracked and never returned. I'll get to it eventually. Graces was....well the story was good but I had some problems with the game on the whole. I'll make a detailed review later (yea, how many times have i said that and never got to it?). I'm working on Xillia and HOT DAMN I love it so far. It's so different for other Tales games but it's a really good different. I can't wait to see more of this game and then get Xillia 2 when it comes out.

Ok so I ran out of things to talk about so I'm gonna leave with that. See you in a month

HOLY SHIT A REVIEW!: Thomas Was Alone

Sit yer asses down boys and girls because I've come out of my cave to grace you all with a review! It's a quick one because it's a quick game. I got this one for free as a PS+ member on the ps3 and figured what the hoo hah.

Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle platformer made by Mike Bithell and no i don't know if he made anything else but i would definitely buy any thing else he put out. This game is fairly short as i beat it in about two or three hours. You start off as a little red rectangle named Thomas and you just have to make it to the rectangle shaped portal on the other side. As you play you're given a narrative about Thomas and what he's thinking and stuff in a very story bookesque fashion. Oh and the narrator is Danny Wallace, or as most of you know him as Shaun Hastings from Assassin's Creed. Speaking of which have you ever seen a picture of Danny Wallace? The must have modeled Shaun after him because they look identical. It's pretty funny.

Anyway as I stated before, your objective in each level is to get to the portals and get to the next level. Eventually you will meet other characters, the next one being a grumpy orange square named Christopher and he can't jump as high as Thomas. You switch between characters with the shoulder buttons and you have to try and figure out ways to get them both to their respective portals. You'll meet other characters each with their own abilities and personalities and the puzzles get a bit harder as you go on. It's not Portal levels of difficult but some can be kind of tricky. I only had to restart a level maybe twice but it's still pretty fun.

Overall i give this game a buy it rating. It's fun, cute, charming, other descriptions for good. Danny Wallace provided a great narrative perfectly conveying the proper emotions needed to tell the story and gave me a good chuckle here and there. Oh and the soundtrack is absolutely amazing. If I knew who is was composed by I'd tell you. If only there was some sort of data transfer system with which to look up the information I requested within milliseconds. One can dream. Anyway you should totally play this game. It's 10 dollars on steam, ps3 and ps vita. Or it's free for PS+ members as of April 2014. If you're reading this now, you're welcome. If not...pff. Sucks to be you.

Kill la Kill

That. That is what I've been doing the past week. Watching this absolutely amazing anime. It's goofy and retarded and bizarre and way too over the top and I love every bit about it. I know I'm a bit late to this party. Ive wanted to watch it for the longest time but never got around to it. Then I power blasted through 22 episodes in about 3 days. I think there's two more episode left in it and as of tonight the next episode is delayed for another 12 hours or so and it's Kill la Killing me.......that was terrible and I'm never doing it again. But it's still awesome and you should watch it because I said so.
